    MTC Alandur Bus depot. The gate entrance is from MKN Road as the Main entrance directly on GST Road has been permanently closed. The land of the depot is leased from Army. Opposite to the MTC Bus Depot are the Residental Quarters which is under the purview of Alandur Muncipality. The noise level of the Bus Depot capped by frequent use of loud speakers by Depot Bus Workers Union is a cause for high noise pollution in the Residential Area affecting mostly the children and elderly citizens. The noise levels peaks to about 110dbs. Suprisingly there is no bus stand near the Bus Depot. The Bus Depot has very poor environmental preservation records. The Main gate is lined with unauthorised Food Hawkers who are source of health hazard and reason for dumping garbage on to the Roads.
