    This very ancient temple is located in Aadhambakkam near St Thomas Mount Railway station. Lord Shiva gave dharshan to Sage Bringu as Nandhi and so the deity is called Nandheeswarar. Here a cow comes around during the Pradhoshams even today. There will be lot of cows roaming around here. Cow represents Avudai and Bull represents Nandhi. Thiruvotriyur Avudaiamman temple and this had connections as per the culvert found in Thiruvotriyur temple. More details in Vikatan Publication’s ‘Aalaya Dharisanam’ book
